Like most great ideas...

...someone has already thought of it and has gone much further than I ever would with it.
How about the idea of borrowing or renting things from everyday people like you or me?  A more entrepreneurial mind than mine could come up with a website that would allow people to rent their things to others - http://www.borrowme.com/
